Basic French Toast

How To make French Toast

You will need :

bread, sugar milk and eggs and vanilla flavoring (optional).

1.First, you will beat the eggs.
(My rule of thumb is to use one egg per 3-4 pieces of toast that you intend to make.)

2. Add flavoring, sugar, and milk to the egg mixture. You only need a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of flavoring per 2 eggs. Add 2 tablespoons of milk. Beat the mixture with a wire whisk. If you do not have a whisk, you can use a fork.

3. Heat a frying pan on medium to high heat. Make sure it greased well.

4. Dip the bread in the egg on both sides. Do Not Dip the whole slice of bread in. Do one side at a time. If you saturate the bread in the french toast, it will be soggy and not cook well.

5. Cook on both sides.

You can top with powdered sugar, butter, and syrup or fruit compote. You cannot go wrong with this simple french toast recipe.  Now you know how to make French Toast.
